The sooner, the better!
Planning atleast 6 month in advance helps to secure early booking perks and avoid the hassle and frustration that comes with booking last minute. Jamaica is one of the most sought-after destinations in the Caribbean so I highly recommend securing those dates as early as possible.
Villas or eco-lodges over All-inclusive hotels
As a luxury traveler, I know the aim is exclusivity, and while some hotels offer this, villas would be the best option. Villas are customized entirely to suit client's needs. A personal chef, private luxury car to private beach access, great customer service. Imagine having the ultimate luxury vacation while minimizing carbon footprint? Amazing!
Know exactly what you want
I recommend doing research on what off the beaten track experiences would be most ideal during your vacation. Some popular experience in Jamaica are sunset catamaran cruise, ATV experiences, customized yachts, Private Bamboo Rafting, private wine and chocolate experiences. Once you know what you want, i’m sure in Jamaica we can make it happen.
Don’t be afraid to tip generously
Jamaica has an avid tipping culture as such, tipping is usually expected by staff. This action is not mandatory and is solely due to discretion. In some cares the staff is not well-paid so they look forward to earning the additional income from their exceptional service.
Always choose private experiences to avoid crowds.
Shared experiences may cause inconveniences due to the lack of flexibility and multiple personalities. However, to avoid the everyday mass tourist, reserving exclusive, off the beaten track experiences with a local and knowledgeable guide will allow you to do everything at a moderate pace while enjoying the intimacy of the destination with locals.
