What inspired you to begin building awareness around eco-tourism and sustainable tourism in the luxury market.
“I believe that covid has propelled forward alot of moves that were being scrutinized widely in the travel market. For e.g luxury villas and AirBnBs became more popular after covid due to the need for seclusion. Another example is the use of virtual reality to tour destinations and even purchase items in store and have it shipped. I realize there is alot of room for creativity in Jamaica’s tourism industry while protecting our flora and fauna and I want to play a part remotely, allowing freedom of time and expression ultimately leading to more locals benefitting from tourism.
Work should fit into your life, not the other way around.
What challenges do you face transitioning to content creation while working a 9-5?
“One of the biggest challenges is finding a balance. On one hand there is a structure already in place for me to follow then on the other hand, i’m the one who has to create the structure from scratch, so it’s taking time to figure everything out. I know my end goal so that’s the motivation. Another challenge I face is forcing myself to resist thinking it’s impossible. There are so many people out there who have done this and are currently doing this so I’m trying to build a network with persons who have similar interests.
The end goal is my motivation
